Wish men could get pregnant?

The old society had a balanced structure. It used the basic design of nature. Men being physically stronger were designated the external hardships while women can give birth to child, hence looked after the household. Both had strong roles to play in the society. Roles of same magnitude but different caliber.

Then came money, the single medium of exchange. Men earned money for their hardships while women kept working for kind. Money is always celebrated hence gave acknowledgement to men for their efforts. Women's efforts could never be quantified in terms of money hence acknowledgement was subjective.

Dowry system was probably a way to hand over the daughter's share of appreciation from her father. But it was mistook as an earning.

This power of money started getting misused and obviously the power lied in the hands of men. Women eventually felt deprived of this soul power.

Mother's womb doesn't differentiate between a male or female child. Women have same learning capacity as men. Education became right of every human being and opened the doors of opportunities for everyone.

Scientifically women mature faster than men. As a result marriage with age difference of 10-15 years was considered normal and ideal. But demand for earning wives increased and age difference between couples reduced. These days marriages break with compatibility issues.

In this entire evolution of society the nature's balance is diminishing. Woman can do everything that a man does but a man cannot bear a child.

These days if men have educational degrees, so do women.. If men can family responsibilities, so do women ...If men need personal space so do women but if men can't bear a child, then why should women ?.... Women have choosen to say NO to this mamoth task of having children... Probably now to balance back the society, men should challenge nature and get pregnant!!!

Pigeons 2050

We 've all had at least once, a pigeon family spreading nuisance in our windows. They have a very irritating sound and are a complete nuisance. I am sure their karmic meter must be running in negative for centuries...

What if they are all enlightened and can prove their worth on earth. They definitely have some special sense through which they capture the latest window. They also have a never give up attitude. They very well pick up weeds, papers, wires etc. and build their cosy nest. They have brilliant  adjusting capacity and can exist anywhere.
Either god should upgrade the skills of this species or we should build some technology wherein the pigeons can serve their nation in cleanliness. Swacha Bharat wave in anyways roaring in India.

All pigeons should be trained to pick up the waste fallen on roads, footpath, railway tracks, public places etc and drop it into the dustbin. They can use their irritating tone as siren to prevent people from throwing waste. Pigeons will never demand salary from govt. Pigeons community will no longer be looked down upon. They may have a brilliant scope to become the national bird. Our country can earn a lot by exporting skilled pigeons. They will truly spread the message of peace.

Anyways, looks like I am wishing a little too much

Magnetic Mumbai

With the entire nation captured under the voting fever, I was also feeling quite patriotic. Living in Mumbai, people hardly care of whats going around and I am one of them. But today, a thought crossed my mind, what is it that my city has and what my country wants. What is it that Singapore or Dubai have and Mumbai doesn't. Why is Europe and America favourite destination for holidays as compared to India, especially by Indians.

Our country is so cool that we can do almost anything in our country, absolutely anything. Right from murder someone without any fear to freely beg on the roads. Just imagine the level of freedom we actually have. It's truly our  privilege, still we crib about our Nation. Apart from that there is abundance of culture, history, natural beauty, diversity ...etc....you name it and we have it. The people...the language... the food...the clothing. We have innovations and creativity to eternity. Yet our country is not appealing enough.
It definitely lacks the presentation. It is like the best biryani without salt. The missing salt in our nation, the one thing immediately required is cleanliness. The clutter all around is completely dejecting.

Let's imagine, like we have water flowing through pipes, electricity running through wires, why not have an extension to drainage system to throw our household garbage.  We don't need to maintain dustbins and have a separate set of people to collect them manually from place to place. Every house can have a pit where they can throw and the garbage will be centrally collected.
We have a good drainage system across the city. Suction fans should be installed at every opening. Whoever throws the garbage.... Zhooop it will be sucked.  Same mechanism should be inside the pipes which will pull in all the garbage and push it towards a dumping ground or a recycle plant.

We were always taught in school to keep our surroundings clean. We got marks for this answer and forgot the true value of this teaching. How do we expect our government to place a dustbin were ever we finish eating? We Indians first throw the garbage then think, do I need it and pick it back ..... coz we know, it will be still lying there. With the zhoop zhaap vacuum cleaners in the city, dare anyone will throw anything without thinking twice.

Government has installed a risky setup of cooking gas pipelines across the city then putting vacuum drainage shouldn't be difficult.

Mumbai gets car name plate format changed in 6 months. They get seat beats and helmets compulsory in 1 month then why not all shops put shop names hoardings in a standard format. It will look uniform.

Pass a ban on dirty blue plastics and replace it with green or brown nature colors.

Mumbai is the maya nagri , the enigmatic city. Wish it was CLEANER.

Chennai Chimes

Long back in school days, some news channel showcased the upcoming India base IT company – Infosys. I vividly remember they showed the Infosys Bangalore head office, a single office then, with staff dressed in casuals, desktops all around and the vibrant work culture, a new trend set in the 90’s for IT outsourcing companies.
As a school girl, that image was fixed in my mind and unknowingly I told myself, someday I should work in such company.
Dream come true and I landed on the earth belonging to Infosys. So much so I wanted to be in Infosys, Chennai was the last place I would have preferred to be placed in. Few things I knew about Chennai were idli, dosa and half saree. I never considered Chennai to be a metro city.
To my surprise the 4 years at Chennai were the most exciting time of my life. I was like the Swami of Malgudi Days, facing new adventure and new challenges every day.
Leaving aside the humid and hot climate of Chennai, everything else makes the city a nice place to live.
The entire city has a nice blend of urban and traditional mix with old style houses, ladies in kanjivaram silk sarees decorate their houses every morning with rangoli (kolam), moghra flower (malli pu) fragrance all over the place and every house has unique tempting aroma of sambhar and rasam.
On a breezy evening, one can enjoy the sunset at the Marina beach, longest beach in Asia with British architectural white government buildings by its side.
Chennai Central station and Chennai Koyambedu bus terminal have sophisticated and well managed setups for any travel around the state.
All around the city the instructions and information are very much in English. The auto drivers are quite helpful and if you call him anna (brother in tamil) he might actually believe you to be his sister and safely take you home.
The city is very clean and has lots of greenery around. Huge old trees in the middle of the road have been given the status of temple and are wisely protected from the busy traffic. Cheers to the public who care for their city. I have seen roads and huge flyovers being built within the city, in almost 6 months. the local government here definitely works.

T-Nagar is a lively place to be, for all types of shopping and multi cuisine joints. There aren’t much road side eateries like in Mumbai but the joints around T-Nagar are a variety. You can try chettinaud meals in Hotel Virudhunagar, kerala cuisine in Entta kerallam or Murgan Idli chain for anytime steaming south indian snacks and amazing filter coffee. There are many Punjabi dhabas around atleast 7-8 of them with sardarjis speaking fluent tamil.

All stores are minimum 7 floored and exciting enough for anytime window shopping. Pondi bazaar is like a flea market.
My pick would be the old Nalli’s store. The store has a very traditional feel and they have sarees for every taste, ranging from price 100 - 10 lakh Rs. If you are a non saree wearer then you may actually develop the liking for sarees, it's that maddening. Nalli 100 or Nalli nur as they call it, I with modern designs and equally good.

Saravana stores is like Disney land for shopping. Sundari Silk is a super classy shop and you may always find your pocket small to buy anything there. But the shop has very classic decor and a nice South Indian feel. Any purchase from here is considered a style stmt.
Probably only in Chennai you will find gold and silver shops of 7-8 floors and around 10 -15 shops in a row, all completely crowded. For a change you can go window shopping to GRT Tanga Maligai (gold palace).

Chennai people have immense belief in god/goddess and have exclusive temples for almost everything. They have special temple to bless travelers before they start the journey, a temple to be visited before you appear for general exams, another temple for praying before you appear for competitive exams and the list goes on.
One of my favorites was the Bodyguard temple for protection of vehicles. All vehicles right from Mercedes to scooter would line up at this temple. The priest takes keys from all, to be kept in front of the idiol's feet and then would do an elaborate aarti for the safety of the car and the owner. They would tie black cloth and purify the car by sprinkling sandalwood paste on it, to keep it away from bad omen.

The local train and bus services are very good in the city but just an evening stroll around any place is quite relaxing.
Another cool places to hangout is the Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Nungambakkam area, City Center mall @ Dr.Radhakrishnan Salai. Mylapore, Adyar, Besant Nagar, Velacheri are beautiful residential areas. Every beach in Chennai are clean and very beautiful but my favorite is Besant Nagar beach.

On the way to Mahabalipuram, the ECR road is a nice long drive and a must stop is the Dakshinachitra (Cross cultural living museum of art, architecture, lifestyles, crafts and performing arts of South India) and Saipuram Shirdi Sai Baba Temple situated at Injambakkam.
The best cinema hall you can visit is Satyam, the interior is funky with multiple hall,  hot popcorn in exotic flavours. Tamil movies are very dramatic and even though I didn’t know tamil I watched all movies of Rajnikanth, Surya and Nayantara. Around this place is a nice cafe called Amethyst, ideal place for a guy to propose his girl with just a bunch of roses. At this cafe the guy could get away with a ring.
I am happy that I choose to work and live in Chennai and not follow the general perception of people about Chennai. It also further makes me believe, that always take the opportunity that comes your way and life may have a new experience hidden somewhere which you can cherish for lifetime. For me Chennai is like second home now and anytime I visit, it gives me the maternal home feeling.

Maximise

On streets of Mumbai no greenery but definitely splash of colors.

If we honor the creation and forget the Creator, we miss everything. The best way to appreciate creation is to know and appreciate the Creator...
Colorful balloons picture looks so beautiful but a pic of the balloon seller didnt seem so important..... Thinking????

On the famous street of Thane - Ram Maruti road also known as RMR... This street is the lively place to handout with friends and catch up old memories. Must try, are some of the authentic maharastrian delicacies like vada pav @ raj mata ....hand made ice creams.....moong bhaji..... &  Puran poli @ Prashants. I was with a friend from Infosys Chennai, to show him my home town and some of my favourite spots. Whenever I am in Thane one place I just can't miss is the shop Celebration on RMR. Over my visit to this gift shop for last 10-13 years, never I have left this shop not finding something unique, useful and value for money. This shop is the mother of all gift shops.

Ever wondered, who created the first Gola???? Even google couldn't tell :)....Now a pic of the first Ice Gola creator would have helped.
A nice clean Gola stall @ Dreams mall - Bhandup Mumbai. 1 ingredient - ice and lots of flavours..... How simple can it get.....The only thing that drives a visit to deserted Dreams mall.

Maximise 1 simple thing in life and it will automatically create attraction. 1 drop of water, maximised to rain is so much fun....and umbrellas @ Neptune mall - Bhandup Mumbai are perfect design for the season. I went several times to this mall just to capture this picture right, my way without people between the umbrellas.Strangely Mumbai Mall without people is very rare ...Worked for me
